Foxborough, Massachusetts (often spelled Foxboro) is a small historic town in Norfolk County, located about 22 miles southwest of Boston and 18 miles northeast of Providence, Rhode Island. Settled in 1704 and incorporated in 1778, the town was named after British politician Charles James Fox. Today, Foxborough has a population of roughly 18,000 residents and is best known as the home of Gillette Stadium, where the New England Patriots and New England Revolution play. The town combines a classic New England suburban feel with modern attractions, including Patriot Place, community events, and access to outdoor spaces, giving it both local charm and regional significance.
